Assistant Producer Internship, Mid Pennine Arts

Deadline: Wednesday 27 January 2016

Assistant Producer Internship, Mid Pennine Arts
North West (Burnley) Closes  Paid (£10k-15k pro rata) (paid internship) Part time

Description

In 2016 we will celebrate our 50th anniversary, and we will mark the occasion with an exciting range of new projects. To help deliver this programme we seek a new person to join our team for a period of six months. MPA is looking for a special individual to make a real contribution to developing and delivering this evolving portfolio.

We are offering a new role, as Assistant Producer, working alongside one or more experienced project managers. Our project managers have a lot of creative freedom in how they develop projects, and this will apply also to our new team member.

We are looking for a young graduate (or equivalent) keen to develop a career in socially engaged arts. This will be a challenging role, but a brilliant development opportunity for the right person.

You will be able to demonstrate the capacity or the potential to enrich and refresh our practice, to take responsibility for developing specific elements of extended projects and possibly even to start originating project opportunities of your own. There is some scope therefore for shaping the role and its workload to suit the skills and developmental needs of the individual appointed.

This is a paid post which is on a fixed term for six months at 30 hours per week. We are looking for someone to start as early in February 2016 as possible. The funding for this post requires the post holder to be, at the time of applying, aged 18–24 years old and you must be registered as unemployed with Jobcentre plus.

Full details of the position and how to apply can be found on the MPA website: http://www.midpenninearts.org.uk/associate-producer-internship
