If you’re looking for somewhere to go on Sundays there’s always the Walker art gallery (and the World Museum next door). There’s two big new exhibitions there now – ‘New Radicals: From Sickert to Freud’ and ‘Cecil Beaton – Portraits‘.
Also in the first floor central area there’s the Student Art exhibition ‘Showcase‘ and, now, every Sunday there’s live music from local Jazz bands.
Tony Judge and The Martin Smith Quartet play alternate Sundays at the gallery with regular special guests from 1030 to 1500 hours.
Visitors can relax and enjoy the music while taking in the stunning artwork or sampling the delicious meals designed by National Museums Liverpool’s executive chef Nigel Paul Smith in the gallery cafe.
