So after the Live 50 party I went to Microzine on Bold St. for the preview of a Jamie Reid exhibition. There’s a good collection of Jamie’s prints, mostly limited edition, signed with something like ‘Peace is tough’. Reid is infamous as the agitator who put the safety pin through the Queen’s lip to visually define punk, and it’s icons, the Sex Pistols. I think I like the more recent abstracts and geometric works more than the old iconic punk collages but its all good stuff, well worth a visit and you can buy lots of other goodies from the shop while you’re there.
Jamie is pictured here with his daughter, Rowan who also performed during the evening with the young band Annurizm
At Microzine until January 16th 2006
