The UN-MADE festival is almost upon us. Since the 20th September, six of TAO Liverpool’s buildings have been open to selected artists and the public. The CHALLENGE for the artists has been to manifest their creations from scratch in less then 2 weeks in response to the empty space and under the scrutiny of the onlooking public. There will be a (PV) Public View this Thursday 2nd October starting at 5:55pm which will also mark the official opening to the UN-MADE Festival Weekend.

The 40 metre mobile waterfall that is Jump Ship Rat's U51 had its first outing around the Albert Dock on Saturday evening. This is a Capital of Culture commission created by Ben Parry and Jacques Chauchat and you can see it at Albert and Salthouse Docks on Saturdays and Sundays 14-16.00 and Thursdays 17-19.00 until 30th October 2008

19.30 Cherry-pickers and musicians arrive.
20.00 The creature is removed from the tower with a crane.
20.30 The convoy leaves the tower and parades to Queensway Tunnel entrance.
21.15 The creature tries to escape, but is prevented from doing so by the special
effect machines.
21.30 Finale at Queensway tunnel.
