As part of the city's year of Health and Well Being PSS and the Academy of Arts have come together with an exhibition demonstrating how art can heal and help generations to communicate. On display will be work produced in workshops including craft, jewellery, clay sculpture and paintings.

There will be three prizes on offer of £100, £75, and £50, sponsored by Queenie's charity and presented by Herbert of Liverpool at the private view.

In April we welcome Merseyside artist Maxine Shisselle. Maxine started painting at a very early age, moving on at 13 to Liverpool Art High School and eventually to a Fine Art Degree at Wirral Metropolitan College. For this exhibition she has focused on figurative and impressionistic works, many of them with Merseyside subjects.
