Hope University Cornerstone Arts Festival. 18 November - 5 December 2009
The theme for this year’s Festival is ‘Telling Stories’, told through drama, music, dance, comedy, film, poetry and the visual arts. As always, the Festival’s key focus is on the presentation of newly created
work, some of which is created during the duration of the Festival. Whereas last year the Festival celebrated the trans-Atlantic cultural links between Liverpool and New York, this year the aim has
been to focus a little closer to home and celebrate links between the Festival and our neighbours and close partners in the city.

Curwen Studio at 50

The Curwen Studio, one of the UK’s most influential printmaking studios, specialising in lithography, is celebrating over fifty years of fine art printing with a special exhibition. The Exhibition is to be officially opened by Rolf Harris together with a book signing and opportunity to speak with Alan Powers, author of Art & Print: The Curwen Story, published by Tate publishing.

Jason Jones - ‘Self Observed’

‘Self Observed’ attempts to re-evaluate the typical male within contemporary painting. Drawing on aspects of the pressure and stress of modern living, work, emotional, sociological and psychological interaction, the works explore the tension and conflict that can exist, but is not necessarily seen, between the body/self and external forces, stimuli and physical surroundings.

An Exhibition of works by the art faculty and students of Concordia University's Art Department in Irvine, CA, USA. This exhibition will highlight new artwork created by four faculty members and eight students' within the art faculty of Concordia University's Art Department in Irvine, CA. 

'Pre-paid'. 5 - 12 December 2008. An exhibition AND auction of postcard works donated by artists and celebrities who contribute to Liverpool’s prestigious cultural life and continuing development.
