'West Meets West'
Exhibition April 26 to May 31 2008

Curated by Maureen Bampton and Mike Holmes of Velvet da Vinci, San Francisco, this unique exchange exhibition will send UK jewellers and metalworkers to the USA and bring USA artists to Liverpool.

This new collaborative exhibition has been conceived specifically for the Bluecoat Display Centre to complement its celebrations of European Capital of Culture year.

About Velvet da Vinci: Opened in 1991, Velvet da Vinci is a gallery of contemporary craft specializing in artist jewellery and metalwork. Representing artists from the US, Europe, Latin America and Japan, the quality and range of work shown at Velvet da Vinci has made it a regular must-see stop for collectors, museum curators, and other knowledgeable art and art-jewellery enthusiasts. Velvet da Vinci organizes about six exhibitions a year including one and two-person shows and important group exhibitions of work from around the world.
