NOTICE OF AN ELECTION FOR TWO ARTIST REPRESENTATIVES TO THE BOARD OF THE INDEPENDENTS BIENNIAL & AN OPEN MEETING TO FOLLOW
The Independents Constitution makes provision for the election of two artist representatives to the Board (see IC Board section 18).
Log in to www.independentsbiennial.org and access the VOTE page where all Independents members can vote for their choice of representatives. If you are not already a member become one by simply signing-up to the site using the link beneath the main menu on the homepage. the Independents Constitution may also be downloaded from the same page.
The closing date for nominations was November 26th 2006 and there are six candidates: Dave Bixter, Jo Derbyshire, Terry Duffy, Tony Knox, Ben Parry and Arthur Roberts. Each artist has provided a brief biography which is posted on the website. The Forum is available for further dialogue.
Voting closes at midday Monday February 12th, 2007. Each member has two votes, but must not vote for the same candidate twice or their vote will be considered void. The results will be announced shortly after 18.00hrs the same day at an open meeting for all independents in the Everyman Theatre Foyer, Hope Street, Liverpool where you can meet directors, artists voted onto board, get a copy of the 2006 Independents Biennial Review and contribute to dialogue and discussion.
