Building on the success of Go Superlambananas, Liverpool City Council has commissioned Wild in Art to create a new mass participation public art programme as part of a festive celebration of arts, culture and the environment.

From mid-November – for seven weeks – colonies of penguins, evocative of fun, creativity and self expression – will form a trail around the cultural and retail quarters, creating a ‘Winterscape’ to act as the visual centrepiece to highlight Liverpool’s cultural and seasonal offerings.

In early September, the portfolio of submitted designs will be presented to sponsors. The aim to commission up to 100 artworks during Autumn 2009. Upon completion of your artwork, each artist will be paid an honorarium of £750.00.

If you have any questions about the submission process, please do not hesitate to contact Katie Beales, Arts Co-ordinator who will be delighted to help.

Closing Date for Submissions: Friday 4 September 2009
