I’m not a big fan of tattooos but if you’re having one why not combine it with being an ambassador for one of 100 endangered species?
In celebration of Charles Darwin’s 200th birthday, we are inviting 100 volunteers to become the ambassadors of 100 endangered UK species – by being permanently tattooed.
At the extInked exhibition this November, we’re inviting you the public to pick an endangered species from 100 illustrations created by us, then have the picture tattooed on your body by a professional tattoo artist.
We’ve teamed up with three conservation groups: the Marine Conservation Society, Buglife (The Invertebrate Conservation Trust) and The People’s Trust for Endangered Species. extInked aims to draw attention to the good work being done by these organisations.
The exhibition opens 7:30pm, Thursday 12th November, 2009 Continues daily (10:00am – 6:00pm) until the 1st of December.
Tattooing commences 7:30pm, Thursday 26th November and continues until Sunday 29th November.
