Deadline: Thursday 14 January 2016.
It is a source of satisfaction to many that since the inaugural Morley Literature Festival in 2006, the festival has developed to be not just a prominent fixture in the annual calendar events for Morley but, also as an event of national prominence. By any standards we have an event of real quality, boasting a programme with flagship events, schools programme and cross arts based commissions. Our website ican be viewed at www.morleyartsfestival.co.uk.
The success of the festival to date is due in no small part to a great deal of work by many people and organisations. But, significantly the role of Director established in 2007 has become pivotal in driving the festival forward.
The Morley Arts Festival Committee Executive is seeking to commission a Festival Director for the Morley Arts Festival 2016. The post will be on a freelance basis for a total of 50 days at £200 per day.
Expressions of interest are invited from suitably qualified enthusiastic and dynamic individuals and organisations who have the relevant experience to provide the necessary organisation and creative leadership to this ambitious festival.
The deadline for submissions, which should take the form of a detailed CV and letter of application, should be sent to Springfield House, 1 Church Street, Gildersome, Morley, Leeds LS27 7AE, or to the following email: firstname.lastname@example.org by Thursday 14th January 2016. Please note that interviews will take place on Friday 22nd January 2016.
The position of Director is an annual commission undertaken by the Morley Arts Festival Committee Executive.
