RIBA Facilities Assistant (job share)

6 month fixed term contract (with potential to be extended)

£16,260 – £19,956 per annum, pro rata

14-21 hours per week

RIBA North is an international architecture centre on the Liverpool waterfront.  It is the RIBA’s biggest capital project outside of London and will comprise of three gallery spaces, conference facilities and a retail/café offer. We are seeking two facilities assistants to support the operations of the centre.

We are seeking two facilities assistants to support the daily operations of RIBA North, The role will be to assist in ensuring that all statutory requirements are met, maintaining the centre to set standards and providing a range of facilities soft services.

You will be someone who has demonstrable experience of delivering a wide range of Facilities support services within a mixed use building, this will include coordinating external contractors and ensuring adequate office supplies are maintained. Assisting in the operation of the RIBA Gallery, conducting Health & Safety inspections and testing and providing operational support for conferences and events.

Candidates will need to have solid experience of setting up and operating audio visual equipment and resolving any associated issues as well as the ability to carry out minor building repairs. They must also have a good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and procedures.  Qualifications in these two areas would be advantageous.

This is a wide ranging role and requires flexibility and a pro-active approach and the ability to work with and support colleagues in all of the Centre’s functions.
