On the Albert Dock since 1988, we are one of the UK’s largest galleries of modern and contemporary outside London. An international gallery in a regional centre, we show the Tate Collection of modern and contemporary art in new and innovative ways alongside ambitious special exhibitions. Now we need an experienced administrator who can hit the ground running and provide effective and efficient office and organisational support to our Exhibitions and Displays department.
Take this integral role and you will support the planning, delivery and evaluation of exhibitions and displays by providing comprehensive and wide-ranging support to the Senior Curator and the team. This will include processing invoices, arranging travel and accommodation for team members and guest artists, and maintaining the exhibition programme planner. Positive and solutions-focused in your approach to problem solving, you will respond to enquiries and comments from the public.
Your considerable administrative experience will include maintaining financial records, managing databases and overseeing a departmental diary and electronic diary systems for managers. This means you’ll bring a sound understanding of Microsoft Access, Word, Excel and Outlook. Known for your highly organised and efficient approach, you will be skilled in working on your own initiative, prioritising a varied workload, balancing competing demands and meeting deadlines. And, because of all this, you will make a significant contribution to our team.
