The Female Gaze
The Female Gaze is an exhibition aimed at questioning and challenging perceptions of contemporary feminism and femininity.
The exhibition will act as a tool to challenge stereotypes and create a constructive debate on feminism in 2017. In doing this, we plan to engage with the wider public. During the exhibition we plan to document the public’s reactions and let them have their say.
Elizabeth Brownsword and Lois Tierney will be displaying a series of prints and drawings that challenge contemporary culture by exploring the female gaze.
During the exhibition there will also be scope for the public to contribute art through a life drawing session. This audience participation will work as a tool to engage the public with our theme.
