We are pleased to announce OUTPUT, a new gallery opening this May in the Kazimier Gardens’ former workshop space on Seel Street. OUTPUT gallery will exclusively show creatives from or based in Merseyside. We are excited to provide a platform for the local art scene and to support the mobility, development, and visibility of artists in the area by taking advantage of our prime location in the city centre.
OUTPUT will launch with a four month programme active every Thursday which includes exhibitions, talks, workshops, film screenings, gigs and listening parties. OUTPUT launches on May 24th with a solo exhibition by Danielle Waine. There will be an experimental sound workshop the following Thursday, and a film screening of the 1979 classic Stalker, as chosen by the artist, the Thursday after that. We will also be hosting solo exhibitions by Tanssah and Kate Cooper over the summer, as well as Empty Spaces Cinema events and more. Make sure to follow @outputgallery on Twitt
OUTPUT is also looking for INPUT and will be inviting the public to advise on its programming, in order to make sure the gallery is useful, and relevant to the people of Liverpool. We will be holding INPUT days for anybody interested in discussing who they would like to see exhibiting and what the gallery space should be used for. That could mean suggesting residencies, sharing your criticism of the gallery, or even throwing your own name into the hat for a show. If you would like to come along, the first INPUT date will be June 14th.
The gallery is wheelchair accessible however the venue’s bathrooms are not, please accept our sincerest apologies. OUTPUT will also host an affordable Cafe open Thursday 12-9, Friday 12-8, Saturday 11-8 and Sunday 11-5.
OUTPUT gallery is managed by Gabrielle de la Puente and supported by The Kazimier.
