And there was the time that it snowed for the first time… and there was the time… and there was the time that he smiled…
In a secret garden in the heart of the city, where all about is changing, and where all about is hubbub, the memory of everything that ever was sings on.
Making use of the timeless hidden spaces of the John Foster garden (originally the grounds of the Victorian Notre Dame convent on Mount Pleasant), where the Time goes… is an intimate and moving sound installation across 3 locations created especially for LightNight. With specially written words and music sounding from hidden speakers, it is a moment of calm amid the hubbub and the chaos on LightNight. A long poem, a meditation, an opportunity to reflect on time and change and what remains the same. A space to wander through, or spend the night… For one night only, the garden tells its tale.
And there was the time we crawled out of the ocean… and there was the time… and there was the time that the angel sighed…
