Buecoat Display Centre presents
Saturday 18 November 2017 to Saturday 13 January 2018
Private view: Friday 17 November 5.30pm to 7.30pm
Our winter exhibition featuring prints and jewellery brings a feast of colour to Bluecoat Display Centre through the winter months and festive season.
Colin Moore is a painter and printmaker, originally from the Clyde Coast, later living in London, and now based in Dorset. His bold, dynamic style portrays the beauty of the British countryside, coastline and cityscape.
Showing alongside Colin’s prints will be specially selected jewellers whose works complement the bold colours and strong graphic lines of Colin’s work. Exhibitors are Rachel Brown, Jane Dzisiewski, Trevor Forrester, Hila Karni, Linda Jeanne Jones, Emily Kidson, Nicola Rawlings, Dot Sim, Su Trindle and Anthony Wong. Some are showing with Bluecoat Display Centre for the first time.
This is an opportunity for jewellers to showcase more adventurous work which is directly inspired by Colin Moore’s images. Some jewellers will respond directly to specific pieces, others will use the work as general inspiration. All jewellery is unique, but have something in common with imagery used by the printmaker.
