SATURDAY 16 April 2011, 19.00 – 03.00 at the Shipping Forecast. Experimental Promotions Presents Truffler Muffler an event aimed at creative thinkers involved in anything. It is run by Benjamin Power an Experimental Musician and Events Promoter. His objective with the event over the coming months is to bring together anybody with creative thoughts from film makers and musicians to scientists and mathematicians, building lasting creative partnerships
and forward thinking and sometimes bizarre artistic happenings. Anyone can get involved and perform or present work at the event, with prior notification to Ben, you can simply come down and see what is happening, get involved in discussions or just take in some inspiration. The entire event is an experiment and it’s end goal depends on the people involved and where they want to take it.
The format for the first event is as follows;
7:00pm – 10:00pm – This is the creative networking opportunity with an open stage policy and a chance for you to meet and discuss other creatives or re-ignite old friendships.
10:00pm – 3:00am – The night will steadily progress to become a sort of experimental club night, still with an open stage policy (with prior communication with Ben). First we will start off with X-Ray Cat presenting cut up audio from Tell Tale Theatre’s recent rendition of 1984. We also have a live electronic hardware performance from R_Complex (also the designer of the poster) and The Insect Stylist previewing his new laptop performance of ‘Dislocated Remixes’ a live remix set first performed for his final performance technology portfolio.
The event takes place on Saturday 16th April 2011 at The Shipping Forecast, Slater St, Liverpool downstairs in The Hold.
Entry is free before 10:00pm but £3.00 after 10:00. Tickets can be found at 3Beat Records on Slater and Probe Records on School Lane next to the Bluecoat from Monday 4th April.
