Enigma Artists Exhibition 15 November – end December 2008
The original Enigma Artists are exhibiting their work together for the first time in over five years when their new collections are unveiled at Enigma Gallery One’s Christmas Ladies’ Night on the 14th November, 2008.
Featuring the work of Cathy Dipple, Ronnie Dipple, Clare Shaughnessy and Susan Myers, the Enigma artists are well known to art collectors on The Wirral with their pieces covering a wide range of styles and subjects. Cathy Dipple’s modern canvas and figure studies are particularly suited to today’s interiors and Ronnie will be showing new works of nostalgic local scenes and views of the waterfront. The incredibly detailed and life-like wildlife paintings of Clare Shaughnessy will be in sharp contrast to Susan Myers’ vibrant and bold silk flower paintings.
The Exhibition will be the centrepiece of Enigma Gallery One’s Christmas Ladies’ Night on Friday 14th November when the Gallery is starting its Christmas celebrations with an evening reception from 5pm until 9pm. All visitors will be treated to complimentary canapés and a glass of wine as they browse the new collections of art, jewellery, glass and ceramics, with tea, coffee and cakes available to buy from Café Enigma in the Upper Gallery.
“A particular pleasure during the evening will be the chance to observe the delicate technique of Clare Shaughnessy as she works on her latest painting, live in the Gallery,” says Cathy Dipple of Enigma Gallery One. “Clare will be talking about what inspires her to capture wildlife on canvases and her incredible style which almost invites the viewer to stroke animals’ fur on her paintings.”
The Enigma Artists Exhibition will run through November and December 2008.
