Edge Hill Festival 2007 – June 9

Was it really only a few days ago that my neck was scorched by the afternoon sun? The people at Metal Culture were lucky to have chosen June 9 2007 for their first International festival at Edge Hill station. Part of the station is being turned into an arts centre as part of the Big Biennial and Capital of Culture so this could be the first of many arty events here.

There was all the usual stuff, music, face-painting, street performers and quite a few stalls mostly for artists to show and sell their work.

You have to be careful where you park your truck though, if Laurence Payot is around she’ll paint some beautiful designs on it in no time.
