Sayers - new Official Partner to 08 Capital of Culture

I like the quote from the Sayers guy "You can't be inspired on an empty stomach, and we are all set to feed the visitors with our award-winning savouries and sandwiches." Last time I looked they didn't have any vegan-friendly savouries or sandwiches, ah well.

Liverpool's favourite retail baker Sayers has become an Official Partner to the European Capital of Culture 2008, in a deal which gives the events programme a massive promotional boost.

Sayers has over 220 shops across the North West, Yorkshire and North Wales and, as part of the agreement, each one will display information about Capital of Culture events.

In addition Sayers' delivery fleet, which covers millions of miles each year, will be liveried with Capital of Culture branding, adding to the exposure the events will receive.

Over 30 million people visit Sayers shops each year and by putting information about cultural events into their hands the company believes it will deliver enormous value to Liverpool over the next three years.

The great majority of visitors to Capital of Culture events will be from people within 90 minutes' drive of Liverpool, which perfectly matches the locations of Sayers shops.
