Batala Samba Band Play in Paris

Voted BEST band at the Lord Mayor's parade in June 2006!
Members of Batala Liverpool went to Paris, France, to play at the international music festival, La Fete de la Musique on Wednesday 21st June 2006.
Batala liverpool joined members of their sister band from Paris to play at various venues throughout the city and parade at night.
In September, 2006, there will be a meeting (or 'Encontro' in Portuguese), of all the Batala bands in Europe (about 150-200 percussionists) here in Liverpool- the first time outside France!! There will be a parade too in Liverpool city centre!!!
