I am an artist living and working in Liverpool, specialising in abstract landscape paintings and resin artworks. My work is influenced by what I see on my travels around the world. Instead of recreating a landscape, I aim to capture its essence, expression and emotion, highlighting the different tonal and mood effects that light has on nature. I have always been fascinated and mesmerised by the sky and light, and it is my aim to create artworks that capture the awe-inspiring emotion that a dramatic landscape evokes.
My goal is to create engaging art, prompting dialogue and contemplation, to allow the viewer to draw on their imagination and see the work in their own individual way.
I work in a shared studio, The Cave, based in the Old Crown Court on Victoria Street. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art, and a Masters in Art History and Curating from Liverpool Hope University where I studied from 2010-2014.
Originals and prints of my artwork are available to purchase on my website www.katechesters.com or Etsy page www.etsy.com/uk/shop/
