Deadline: Friday 29 February 2016.
Liverpool Biennial of Contemporary Art is seeking to appoint a new Chair, as the current chair steps down after successfully completing the maximum term of office. We are looking for a politically aware strategic thinker, with an understanding of Liverpool Biennial and how it works within the cultural ecology of the UK. You will chair the Board of Trustees and work with the Director, to further raise our profile nationally and internationally in preparation for Biennial 2018 and beyond.
You will have a deep interest in contemporary art and be familiar with decision making in both public and private sectors. You will be an established leader with proven strategic and commercial acumen to ensure excellent governance and Board performance.
This is voluntary role, although reasonable travel and other expenses will be reimbursed.
If this is an opportunity that excites you, then please find further details of what the role will involve and how to apply here, or in the download section below. Closing date for receipt of applications is 29 February 2016.
Although not a public appointment, the seven principles of public life as defined by the Nolan Commission (selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership) are applicable to this role.
