Call For Makers! Liverpool Make Fest 2017
Open from 3rd February to 31st March
Yet again we are repurposing Liverpool Central Library, William Brown Street, Liverpool, for our free festival and celebration of all things “makey”, attracting over 3000 members of the public each year. And you’re invited to participate 🙂
Our call is open to Makers, Maker/Hack spaces (and their communities), STEAM practitioners for workshops, demonstrations, and activities, artist and crafters, maker trades people, businesses, clubs, societies, and anyone (entertainers and cosplayers) or anything else believing in the maker-ethos and/or maker movement!
Each year we’ve had a different sub-focus to our larger theme of putting Makers and maker-spaces front and centre of Liverpool MakeFest. In the first year we combined making and complimentary SMEs together. Last year we combined making with comics and cosplay. Both of which we continue to include with a passion!
This year we’d really love to focus on interactive arts, crafts, fabrics and costumes, jewellers, metal workers, wood workers, glass workers, music- whether that’s making in the analogue sense (we’d love an application from anyone prepared to help people turn old tee-shirts into tote bags!) or making in the digital sense (we’d love to hear from people merging hardware and “soft-wear” together!) we really want to hear from you!
