Knowsley Council presents the ‘15th Knowsley Open Art Exhibition‘ which showcases over 200 pieces of 2D visual art created by people over 18 years who live, work, volunteer or study in the borough of Knowsley.
The ‘Young Artists Open’ exhibition is also on display, to celebrate the work of young and emerging artists of all ages up to 17 years.
Pick up an entry form in Huyton Gallery, Kirkby Gallery, Prescot Museum, Knowsley Leisure & Culture Park or one of your local libraries.
You can also apply online via the website, or complete the attached form which also has all the details and conditions of entry.
Visitor Choice prizes
Three prizes will be awarded at the end of the exhibition to each of the Open Exhibitions (the ‘Main Open’ and ‘Young Artists Open’), for the most popular artworks on display, as voted for by the visiting public.
Please come along to the exhibition and vote for your favourite piece of work, its also a great opportunity to buy affordable works by local artists.
One vote for each exhibition, per person.
Reg Robinson Prize
The ‘Reg Robinson Prize’ is a special award in recognition of local artist Reg Robinson who passed away in 2013.
This prize will be awarded to a selected artwork which echoes the skills and creativity that was embodied in Reg’s artwork.
This award will be given out at the Private View.
Knowsley Open – 1st prize: £150, 2nd prize: £75, 3rd prize: £40
Young Artists Open – 1st prize: £50, 2nd prize: £25, 3rd prize: £15
Reg Robinson prize – £50
All prizes awarded will be in the form of ‘Rennies Art Shop’ Vouchers.
