Ian Taylor at The Slaughterhouse

Preview Friday 17th November 2006 17-20.00

This is an exhibition to make the effort to see at the Slaughterhouse 73 in Garston if you haven't visited the Gallery before now. Ian Taylor's use of recycling is awesome (and I don't use that word lightly). He uses a diverse range of materials including stone wood, scrap metal and other found objects.

His inspiration comes from a variety of sources including French sculptor Gaudier Bazeska and the three dimensional work of Picasso.

Paraphernalia: A group of articles, esp.as used in some activity; equipment; gear.
This work is assembled from 'gear', objects re-worked into constructed moment, be it a hanging leap, or a fish in the beak.

At Slaughterhouse73 November 17 to December 31 2006
