Freelance Artist for Knowsley IT Creative Project (Merseyside)

For artists based in the North West of England

The Oral Health Promotion Team, part of Knowsley Primary Care Trust are seeking an experienced freelance artist to support the development of innovative and interactive oral health promotion sessions using creative ICT programmes for use in schools in Knowsley.

The artist will be responsible for the training of the Oral Health Promotion Team who will then deliver these creative sessions, as well as supporting the piloting and delivery of the programme in autumn 2007.
The artist will work closely with the team to develop an appropriate and exciting programme of sessions to appeal to pupils at key stage 3 (age 11 - 13 years)

Initially artists will be required to research, cost and develop this programme of work with Oral Health Promotion staff before the end of March 2007 and assist in the acquisition of suitable graphics software and equipment.

We are seeking someone with existing experience of photography, digital media and graphics packages, who has experience of working in schools and delivering training. Good organisational skills and excellent communication skills are essential.

The initial contract will be up to March 2007

The extended contract will continue until December 2007.

Artist Fees: £2,600 for 17 - 21 days work (min - max) for Nov 2006 - March 2007.

Equipment & software for the project training will be provided from a separate budget.
