Latest exhibition at The People's Centre consists of works by 3 local artists. Lynn Fraser, Pamela Holstein and Marie McGowan. It runs until September 8th 2006.

Lynn Fraser
I pursue my passion for art. painting in acrylics on canvas, pencil and pastel artwork. I enjoy what I paint, teasing out the work on the canvas, enabling those who view, the opportunity to involve themselves in the pleasure it gives me. Popular in presentation I enjoy sharing the risks within my work with others.

Pamela Holstein:
I am a print maker, the theme that is emerging in my current body of work is a tongue in cheek juxtaposition of animals (both living and extinct) in surreal situations. The prints feature dinosaurs are part of a series depicting the obsession of a consumer society. I am currently working on a new series entitled “Public Sector Management” based on characters in the workplace.

Marie McGowan:
I am an abstract artist working mainly in acrylics on canvas. Currently influences are the effect of global warming on the planet and weather. I am interested in creating shape, colour tone and texture.
