Bluecoat Display Centre Extends into Hanover St.

The Bluecoat Display Centre is delighted to announce the August launch of our additional temporary gallery space.

Display Centre Two will open on the 19th August at 54 Hanover Street, the former Blacks outdoor store, with an exhibition of large scale sculptural works, furniture, lighting, mixed media wallpieces and prints, by UK based craftspeople, on the theme of flora and fauna.

This main exhibition will be complemented by our trademark quality selection of highly individual jewellery, glass, textiles, and ceramics from our regular craftspeople, a further selection of which can be seen at our main College Lane shop/gallery which will continue to open throughout the Bluecoat Arts Centre renovations and the Paradise Project.

The Display Centre Two gallery space will give us the opportunity to show larger scale individually designed and handcrafted sculptural work and furniture in Liverpool on a regular basis. With this in mind we have curated 3 exhibitions which will focus on the 3 themes of flora and fauna, dance and architecture that will feature leading craftspeople from the North West and beyond, we will also be working with 2 other galleries to bring to Liverpool 3 national touring exhibitions which will highlight the work of 3 contemporary maker’s working in sculptural ceramics, textiles and furniture.
