Its the end of the 2005/6 season of films at this lovely Scandinavian Church (GUSTAV ADOLFS KYRKA) on Park Lane tomorrow.
The last film of the season, “Babette’s Feast”, on Monday the 22nd, doors open at 7pm when a feast of coffee and cake etc are on offer to purchase.

On the Danish coast live Martina and Philipa, beautiful daughters of a devout clergyman who preaches salvation through self-denial. Both girls sacrifice youthful passion to faith and duty, until Babette, a mysterious refugee fleeing from the French civil war arrives in the village, where life for the sisters begins to change. . . especially when Babette invites them to a gourmet French meal, scandalising the local elders. . . .
The new season starts on September 21st, with the Ingmar Bergman film “Autumn Sonata”.
