Carnival Artist / Assistant Positions- Voluntary (Brouhaha International
Street Carnival)

We are currently seeking artists/ workshop leaders to join their 2006 Carnival Production Team.

Our aim is to develop carnival arts with young people in Liverpool. We offer artist a wide range of Carnival skills, ranging from Costume Design, costume making and large scale production management the project working with
and along side community groups.

Working as part of a team, you will gain experience in producing carnival costumes, from the initial cloth to the final fitting. There will also be opportunities to get involved in all the other workshops.

We are seeking enthusiastic, energetic and committed individuals, with availability during:
Workshops dates:
June- August 2006.
Liverpool International Street Carnival.

This event delivers a wide range of carnival and street performance arts programmes with thirty local educational and community arts projects throughout North West region and collaborating with twenty five International streets
performance groups and working with seven national partners cities.
Liverpool International Street Carnival has become a model large scale community carnival project and is now the largest single community carnival in the UK comprising of 2000 costume wearers.
