Project Consultant - FACT

PROJECT DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANCY
INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF NEW CINEMA

FACT (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology) exists to inspire creativity in film, video and new and emergent media, and operates from an award winning building at the heart of Liverpool’s city centre regeneration. FACT ‘s role as an international venue for exhibitions, films, talks, seminars and events and Liverpool’s successful bid to become European Capital of Culture 2008 have created the perfect conditions to launch a new cinema and new media festival. This event will position Liverpool at the epicentre of international creative convergence across art, technology, film, music and popular culture, celebrating people and places "on the edge” of innovation and development. Centred on the emerging potential of digital, expanding cinema the event will draw upon ties with other cities where modernity and technology collide with past histories as gateways and frontiers e.g. Shanghai, Rotterdam.

We are seeking an experienced and imaginative consultant(s) who can grasp the potential of this project, consolidating previous research, consultation and drawing on new information; develop it through an outline programme and business plan and act as a project champion.

A Development Group led by FACT will support the consultancy and will include representation from Arts Council, Liverpool Culture Company, City Screen and North West Vision.
