Eight Days a Week Facilitator Required

EIGHT DAYS A WEEK FACILITATOR REQUIRED

The role of the Facilitator will be to coordinate existing projects and develop new ones between Liverpool and its German twin city, liaising with artists, venues and other interested groups. The Facilitator will report to the Eight Days a Week steering group in Liverpool, and lead on the strategic development of this ongoing project.

Fee: £10,000 over one year.
This is equivalent to 100 days per year, calculated on basis of £26,000 pa.
The number of days worked and schedule of payments will be agreed in advance.
Payments will be made monthly on receipt of invoice.

Period of contract: one year starting December 2005 or by negotiation.
Place of work: office base provided by Liverpool School of Art and Design at Liverpool John Moores University, and potentially offsite at Bluecoat Arts Centre.

Primary purpose of job: To plan, organise and liaise with the steering group. To develop and coordinate the 2006 exchange programme to high standard of delivery.
To research and develop archival material leading to website links and possible future publications. To develop strategic priorities for the project and develop the organisational structure leading to the preparation of more significant funding applications for a major celebratory event in 2008, Liverpool's Year as European
Capital of Culture.
