Many thanks to the Liverpool Walker Art Gallery for sending me images of the sketches which are on show until December 11th 2005 as part of the Trafalgar Festival. See earlier post 1 and 2. They are also on the Walker's website but can sometimes be difficult to find. They are the large study and 2 canon sketches for Maclise's painting and one of a Midshipman for West's painting.
