Maia Stefena Oprea was born in Bucharest in 1987 and is currently a student at the "Nicolae Tonitza" Fine Art High School in Bucharest, Romania. She's only in Liverpool at Hope University Cornerstone for 2 weeks after stays in Southampton and London and last night was the only chance for the public to view her work. Maia is only 17 years old but has been quite prolific with several works on show. Oils and acrylics some portraits, self-portraits and abstracts, inks and watercolours of Willow trees, charcoald drawings and evem tempera on paper. All very nice and shows great promise.
