New Flyer and 'Interesting' Stats

I hope you like the new flyer, I spent all yesterday designing it. I'm sure many of you have seen the old one (with the rainbow sky) around everywhere since the site was launched just last September and you're probably fed up with it. Anyway supplies are low so its time to get some new ones printed. Look out for them in all the usual places soon.

Yes, originally, the site was just a list of Liverpool art galleries and all their details. Now its so, so much more! There's this blog of course which only started last December following on from my Biennial Blog. There's the Links page and the Artists Directory which now features nearly 50 local artists. Not forgetting the (more-or-less) weekly updates e-mailed to about 150 subscribers.

You don't need to be an expert in statistics to see from the graph that traffic to the site has increased dramatically over the past 9 months.
Search engine queries for Liverpool art, artists or Liverpool galleries put artinliverpool pages near the top and we have a sponsored link on Google. The main page and blog have a Google ranking of 4/10 the others are 3/10.
We have now reached a total of over 750,000 hits since November 2004 and now averaging nearly 7,000 hits and 520 visits per day.

Please forgive my excitement, its probably all boring nonsense to most of you but one of the pleasures I get from all the effort I have to put in is knowing that more and more people are taking an interest in Liverpool art. Lets hope the trend continues.

Comments

Those stats are great, sounds like it's really starting to grow! I've recently discovered 'Art in Liverpool' and it's a real find. I like the fact the info and weblogs are updated frequently, so will be checking back on a regular basis. Good luck!
