Larks in the Park Revisited 05

Larks in the Park returns to Sefton Park.
Local Acts to perform in the Palm House.

Larks in the Park Revisited comes to Sefton Park on Sunday 25th September. The return of the popular eighties event, funded by the Capital of Culture Creative Communities Programme, Liverpool Community College and a number of local businesses, is bringing together local acts to perform at a community music and art day.

Andrew Macaulay, Creative Director of the event, says

“It was over twenty years ago that Echo and the Bunnymen made their name on the Bandstand. We have brought the event back to Sefton Park to allow the local community to enjoy local acts playing on a local stage.”

“Many of us who went to the early events have grown up and have children now. While bands including Liverpool based ‘The Pearl’ take centre stage, child centred community arts activities will take place around the Palm House.”

“This is a community music and art event that has something for everyone! It’s a chance for us to celebrate the journey of our lives for the last 20 years with our children. And it doesn’t matter if it rains – as we’ll be under cover in our lovely venue, Sefton Park’s Palm House.”

The event runs from 10.30am to 5.00 pm on Sunday 25th September. Admission to the event is free.

Acts playing at the event include:

Stan Ambrose
Frank Carlyle magical history tour
Perfectly Frank
2 Real
Chiba Sprawl
Hallucinations
Sarah Lawton
The Pearl
