Freelance Project Manager Required

The Heritage Project are seeking an experienced freelancer to support the development of an exciting new initiative, linking people with learning difficulties on Merseyside to opportunities for enjoyment, creativity and learning in the heritage sector.

You will be responsible for the development of the Heritage Forum, a group of people with learning difficulties who meet regularly to discuss local heritage and plan future activity, and will work closely with a steering group of project partners - including representatives from Liverpool Culture Company, Mencap,National Museums Liverpool, and North West Disability Arts Forum.

We are seeking someone with an understanding of the needs of people with learning difficulties, excellent communication skills, and a high level of commitment and motivation to inclusive and accessible working, as well as good organisational skills and an ability to carry out fundraising activity and manage budgets.

This is a freelance position for an initial term of 2 days per week for nine months (September 2005 to June 2006). The fee will be between £100 and £125 per day depending on experience.
