Here's one Liverpool sculpture I haven't seen yet. It was unveiled about 18 months ago but had to be taken down almost immediately as it moved around too much in high winds. Its due to go on show again soon, a trip out to Speke is called for - or maybe two trips; a daylight one and a night-time one.

Spanning the dual carriageway, the Mersey Wave is 200ft long and 100ft high - the same size as seven double-decker buses. It is 30ft taller than the famous Angel of the North at Gateshead, and at night its blue lights are visible up to a mile away.
