Forgot to mention that one of the highlights of the auction at tonight’s twestival was two pairs of (worn) socks signed and donated by Stephen Fry (yes, him off the telly and also an obsessive tweeter). Can’t remember how much they fetched, think it was £30
Had a very good night at the first Liverpool Twestival (twitter festival). Leaf Cafe was packed again, some excellent music from Sparkwood & 21 and 6ix Toys. The Lapis were due to play after we left.
Mandy Phillips and others did a fantastic job to get the whole thing orgasnised in a very short space of time.
The auction and raffle seemed to go pretty well with Don McAllister doing the shouting. Our donated Holga camera went for a bargain £35.
I’ve no idea what the figures are I’m sure a lot of money has been raised for Charity:Water not just from this event but the 180+ others taking place all over the world tonight.
