Literature Programmer - the Bluecoat.

Salary circa £24k pa pro rata 26 month contract, 4 days a week

We are seeking an individual with a passion for literature and a commitment to audiences. Contributing to Liverpool European Capital of Culture, this new post will play an important part in re- launching the Bluecoat in early 2008 following our £12.5m capital development.

You will plan and deliver a diverse and distinctive programme of live literature, ideas and debates, including the Bluecoat writing festival next October, in our prestigious new facility. You will be part of a team of visual, performing and participation specialists, and will work with a range of external partner organisations.

Educated to degree level, you will possess an in depth knowledge of contemporary literature and thought, and have at least two years’ experience programming a range of UK and international writers. Experience of managing budgets, good communication skills, an ability to prioritise workloads and work flexibly as part of a team, are essential.
