New Creative Volunteering Opportunities with the National Trust Liverpool
Liverpool People and Places, The Photography of E. Chambré Hardman
Friendly creative people required to facilitate art workshops / hands-on activities and invigilate a touring exhibition of community art and photography inspired by the iconic collection of the prolific Liverpool photographer Edward Chambré Hardman.
The work is the result of a city wide project with the exhibition touring public spaces across Liverpool during 2008.
This is a great chance to be creative with people from all walks of life and invigilate an art exhibition in unusual venues. Will provide invaluable experience of working on a new project with the National Trust and will suit people with an interest in art, photography, local history, community work and education.
May involve some creative workshops with hospital in-patients.
Travel expenses will be reimbursed and 50 hours of volunteering will be awarded with a National Trust volunteer card which is equivalent to membership for 1 year. It gives free entry to all National Trust sites, free parking and discount in shops and cafes.
All ages welcome.

The National Trust in Liverpool
The National Trust owns and cares for – along with Speke Hall, Mendips and 20 Forthlin Rd – the photographic collection, as well as the former home and studio, of Edward Chambré Hardman. The collection comprises more than 140000 images, many of which capture moments of history in Liverpool, through photographs of people and places. Many of Hardman’s iconic images encapsulate scenes which members of the local community may vividly remember or be familiar with today, including the Museum steps, the building of the Anglican Cathedral, the Mersey Waterfront, as well as Liverpool Docks and other people and places throughout the city.
