dear all,
Sometimes you just have to trust people and now I have a healthy fat cheque in my account for £3,600, and yes he did buy a painting.
Better luck next time to the sceptics

Thanks Lisa and well done on the sale.
Of course, its worth noting that not all requests should be rejected out of hand but there are certain signs that flag a 'buyer' as a likely scammer.
Also it can be a few months before a bank decide that a cheque is fake. If you've spent the money in the meantime then your in trouble.

I have just received the above noted letter form Biodun Martins.
I have told him payment by paypal so I'm assuming he will disappear.

Just to follow up on my post from a few days ago, the Biodun Martins email, I had several email conversations with this "scammer" per providing him with art for his "parents 10th wedding anniversary", he said he would have his shipping company come to my gallery/studio and pack the art and ship it, I responded with cost of art and shipping rates and that I use the US postal service and PayPal and these terms were not negotiable; he has completely disappeared.
