From 11 Wolstenholme...

We have invited London based, 'The Centre of Attention' to curate a show at 11 Wolstenholme Square at the end of August.

The Centre of Attention is curated by Pierre Coinde and Gary O'Dwyer. "Its experimental approach stems from an ongoing enquiry into the phenomenon of art production, presentation, consumption and heritage-ization." www.thecentreofattention.org

They are planning a show combining Liverpool, London and overseas based artists. They visited the space in May and are planning to come up again for 2 days at some point in July to meet artists who may be interested in participating. They are interested in hearing from any Liverpool artists for whom 'horror' is an influence.

"The ideas we are working around at the moment for the exhibition are: horror (psychological) / edgar allan poe. This is in a loose way: ie we are not particularly looking for artists to do specific work for the show, but would be interested to hear about any Liverpool-based artist/works for whom horror is an influence. Any media: performance, sound, video, objects, painting etc... "
