'Four Corners 2007' - Show Me The Door

I haven't had a look at the installations inside the building yet but I'm told they're very interesting. I'll be back on Thursday when it opens to the public. Its only open this Thursday to Saturday, I'm not sure how long those doors will stay up.
Four Corners exhibition
Four Corners’ House, 34-36 Great George Street, Liverpool, L1 5EP (opposite the Anglican Cathedral)
Nearly 150 front doors have been used to clad the exterior of a formerly derelict house in Great George Street, to celebrate the culmination of Four Corners 2007. The doors have been sourced from demolished or refurbished homes across Liverpool.
The inside of the building has been transformed into a temporary gallery, housing work that addresses the question “What makes a neighbourhood?.
Four Corners is the Liverpool Culture Company’s flagship regeneration project, working with residents, cultural organisations and neighbourhood services. It operates specifically in those neighbourhoods which are experiencing rapid change, upheaval, and high rates of residential turnover. It uses tools such as creative writing, visual arts, photography and audio technology to engage residents as they live through periods of significant upheaval – capturing memories and supporting community cohesion.
The exhibition will be open to the public between Thursday, May 31 and Saturday, June 2 2007, from 10.00 - 16.00
This is the second Four Corners project. It will return next year as one of the key community elements of Liverpool’s European Capital of Culture celebrations.
