Liverpool artwork of the day - Friday March 23 2007. 'Untitled' by Tony Smith from his solo exhibition 'Multiple Choice' at Huyton Gallery, March 12 - May 27 2007.

I haven't been to see the show yet but I've seen the pictures, they look great and we've heard a lot of good feedback.

'These are new paintings which utilise a play of differences within colour and markmaking. Often the work references and utilises mathematical signifiers such as the grid, which can easily imply certain art historical events.'
