Drawing Based Collage Workshop For Adults
Wednesday 27th February 13-15.00

Explore the possibilities of working in collage, whatever your level of experience. Allow yourself to relax, to experiment, and to take chances; collage can often prove to be a valuable catalyst for change in your work.

With particular reference to selected equine images by George Stubbs, and the paper cutouts of Henry Matisse, this workshop will allow participants to create their own unique collage, and to work in the style of their choice.

A quantity of discarded horse lithographs on newsprint, from the “Faulty Dissection project, will be available for use. Alternatively, participants may prefer to bring along a selection of interesting papers or their own discarded artwork etc. (max of 12 participants)

Printmaking workshop for Children
Saturday 3rd March 14-16.00

Participants will be encouraged to discover expressive drawing and mark making using ink, biro and pencil inspired by equine anatomy and surgical instruments.

These drawings will then inform poly-board relief printmaking - experimenting with red, black and white ink and chine colle to produce multiple prints and a group collage.

Participants will need to bring an old shirt or apron! (Suitable for over 6 years, max of 12 participants)
