New Transvoyeur Programme announced for 2007

Year (4)/2007: Independent Research and Redefinition (National and International).

The coming year of 2007 for Transvoyeur is set as 'Independent Research and Redefinition' for the programme. There are an array of events and projects under the programme of Transvoyeur, but these will start to evolve by each members independent research and explored not only in Liverpool, England, but with a greater emphasis to the national and international opportunities. Transvoyeur in Association with 'Loft Space Project'
January 2007 - March 2007
The 'Loft Space Project' is an artist in residence project curated by Jo Derbyshire to explore arts and culture in the urban space with contributions from other Transvoyeur artists and invited guest artists.

Transvoyeur Catalogue Preview/Launch 2006
March 2007
The history of Transvoyeur, founded 2003, and the events up to 2006 in the Independents Liverpool Biennial 2006 will be presented in a catalogue. It contains the information on the events, projects and exhibitions and artists from the different international cities.

Transvoyeur Art Auction for Royal Liverpool Hospital
April – May 2007
An auction is proposed to raise funds for the Royal Liverpool Hospital.

Transvoyeur: Liverpool and New York Exhibition 2007 (New York, US)
May 2007
The exhibition of the art by the Liverpool and New York artists launched at the Independents Liverpool Biennial 2006 at the View Two Gallery (Liverpool, England) will tour to New York (US).

Transvoyeur Professional Market Research: Paris/Barcelona.
July 2007
A group of the UK based Transvoyeur artists will go to Barcelona (Spain) and Paris (France) to research the contemporary arts and culture in either city and to establish and forge links for future exchanges.

Transvoyeur Performance Art Platform 2007, Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2007.
August 2007.
Live art produced and conceived by the Transvoyeur artists to be presented at the international events of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2007.

Independent Practice and Research of Artists for 2007

Agata Alaniz: Environmental Art.
Alcaniz is preparing for a new series art set on his interest in Environmentalism, both in digital video media and live art intervention. She will be collaborating with several institutions in the development of this distinct and innovative work on a topical subject.

Brendan Byrne: VJ Theory
Byrne in collaboration with the VJ Theory group are to publish their first book in 2007. He has been invited to two US universities to lecture on this work on the philosophy and theory of vjing and real time interaction (www.wjtheory.net). He will be working with Michael Betancourt (Curator of Iowa Sate Museum andGallery, US) on applications for his proposed 'Taxonomy of Abstract Form’.

Jo Derbyshire: When the City Speaks, Loft Space Project, Art and Urban Culture.
When the City Speaks, a live art project by Derbyshire will be explored through different urban spaces and the creative processes of subjectivity and objectivity. The Loft Space project is another stage combined to consider through her theoretical practice concepts of spatiality and artistic intervention. She is currently studying her Masters in Visual Arts.

Tony Knox: Hero.
Knox is working with several educational and cultural bodies on the final resolve of his alter-ego character ‘Moth Man’. In 2007, this character, now one of urban myth and iconic status in popular culture will reach a culmination to be revealed. Knox will be finishing his Masters in Visual Arts.

George Lund: Animal Utopia
Lund will be researching and developing a large scale performance art platform for 2008 in collaboration with the Liverpool Culture Company. In combination with this, a philosophical text Lund has written influenced on his visualisations and theories of humanity in his art is to be edited this year for publication. Date to be announced.

Charles Nuttall: Media – Concept and Space.
Nuttall will be researching digital media through programming and graphic and concepts of spatiality of different media processes from gaming, the internet and much more.

Catherine Shea and Jess Bowstead: Collaboration
Shea and Bowstead in collaboration are to research and develop a new series of contemporary art of a diverse nature. This will be unveiled later in the year through programmed projects and exhibitions.

Gary Sollars: Art, Dollman ...
Sollars will present new guises of Dollman and the infamous Disco events for 2007. Through his own practice he explores new concepts and creative processes on his themes of social commentary. There will be an array of events, projects and exhibitions to be announced by Sollars in the coming months.

Gaynor Evelyn Sweeney: Genetic Intervention and Visual Dialogue.
Sweeney will collaborate with several London and international institutions in her professional activites to research and develop a new series art on the theoretical and practitioner constructs of philanthropy, genetic intervention and visual dialogue in post modern art, society and culture. The plurarity of her engagement in 2007 will be in London (UK), New York (US) and other international cultural platforms. Sweeney will be studying for her PhD in London (UK).

Andrew Taylor: Peotry and Publication.
Taylor will be finishing his PhD on Poetry and Poetics, gathering work for his next collection and work produced at 'The Loft Space' residency in Liverpool (UK) for future publication. As a member of Edge Hill University's Poetry and Poetics Research Group, he will be recording his poetry for CD release. Taylor hopes to continue aspects of his research in the USA in 2007.
