Film about Merchant Seamen in the 1950's who had an impact on Liverpool and UK culture, through the fashions and music they brought back from New York. This laid the basis for Merseybeat and The Beatles.
Features an interview with the Seaman who sold George Harrison his first Gretsch Guitar.
Narrated by Paul Gambaccini, it features music from Sam Cook, Bobby Darin, Fats Domino and Nina Simone. The Première is being held in Liverpool at the Philharmonic Hall on June 21st 2007.

i saw my dad i last saw him at 5 years old and have been trying to find a pic of him this has made my world complete even if i have found out he has past away i now no my son and grandaughter look like him and that he always kept intouch with another of the cunard yanks to see how his little girl was doing thanks for giving me my dad back
